Did You Have Any Weirdo JWs In Your Hall?
by minimus inin the 2 halls i was in, there were a few.
but the most memorable one was an elderly pioneer who would ask the householder if they wanted to hear about "the truth".
when they quite naturally said ,"no", he responded with, "if you don't believe in jesus, jesus will turn you into a pig"!.

All of them were weirdos or psychotic nutcases, especially when you realize what sort of mental indoctrination they went through.

Are there ANY Bible prophecies that indisputably came true?
by nicolaou in.
i mean a prophecy made before the event, with specific detail that can be verified in history books.
nothing vague like 'reports of wars'.. .

Then the Almighty gods were created out of the minds of the inspired bullshitters of their time.........what you mean there were ancient bullshitters back then too ? .......you bet there were

Its quite ironic and somewhat laughable when organized religionists such as the JWS regard every prophecy and story told in the bible as factual reality.
Interpreting mystical folklore as spoken truth can only bring about real problems for humanity and yes we do have proof of that in are history.

Are Jehovah's Witness men good catches?
by garyneal ini've stated this before on this message board but i was kind of curious about this and wanted to get some feedback from the group.
in particular, the ladies who are either current or former jw's.. about a year or so ago, my wife went with me to a church i was attending at the time.
we then later that morning attended a kh meeting.

I think its very dangerous game to play with yourself thinking that well this particular guy does go to the meetings and kind of plays out the role of a JWS.
I've seen so many woman get screwed up when they see any guy at a hall who in their minds would make for a good potential husband, only to realize
the personality at the hall was just fake and plastic, to what the guy is really like.
My sister was one of those hapless victims that got involved with a guy that had a very bad reputation outside of the hall and in his past,
but was only somehow all got covered over by a pretentious white sheet of righteousness.
Woman need to be cautiously aware when they go shopping for partners down at the Kingdom Hall

The ancient Israelite social morals that the JW men attach themselves to, may not make for a balanced relationship in these modern times.
Someone else posted a comment that woman in the JWS organization are very second class people and that females are kept
in submission to the higher statured male husbands. Now does that sound like that would make for a happy and respectful
arrangement for a wife in a marriage ? I know that it didn't make my mother very happy, particularly with my over powering controlling father.

Beginning on JWN
by Thunderinus ini left the jws three years ago after having done extensive research through the internet where fortunately one can find an enormous amount of information regarding every aspect of the jws it's simply amazing how many websites there are exposing their real nature.
though in the end i don't blame so much the rank and file members who are themselves naive and ignorant victims, rather i blame those governing this organisation who are constantly and ruthlessly deceiving and holding captive in a spiritual sense their hapless followers.. i had several issues with them:.
the blood ban goes too much against common sense why would it be wrong to accept blood from someone that willing gives it and without any coercion or harm to himself precisely out of good kindness with the intention to save lives as indeed millions of lives were saved in this way.

I especially liked this comment by Thunderinus :
A handful of people who claim that they have a monopoly of divine revelation, that no one has the right to criticize their ideas or claim having received any revelation or inspiration but who themselves can never get anything right since they are for ever changing their doctrines.
It says well of the opportunistic role playing or power playing of the leadership of the WTS., highlighted by one of the most power getting egotistical
personalities such as Da Judge Rutherford. Well he wasn't really a judge but he felt it gave him more prominence and prestige among his peers.
How powerful he must have felt when he drove away in his Cadillac with his indentured minions by his side answering to his every whim,
protecting him with clubs and canes to beat any opposer that confronted him.
You got to hand it to them though what great self marketing skills.

Rereading Thunderinus's post reminds me of the fact that the WTS bought the power of god for themselves and have played with it now for almost 100 years.
Who says money cant buy everything ?
